@Guillermo8908 Well on professional racing cars, it’s all about efficiency and therefore purpose built. I definitely will not have straight pipes on my daily driver because i’d rather not have my ears bleeding at the end of the day…bad. But racing teams care less about how an exhaust sounds, than how it matches their application. Can’t blame them
@papapetad If only racing teams knew that, then they would get rid of those annoying extra horses you get from straight pipes.
You need a good balance of flow and back pressure for a responsive engine. This exhaust sounds brilliant on the IS300. Must be a decent match diameter. What size is it? 2.5″? Also what setup is it? I have a cat back 2.5″ system (same thing, tanabe medallion) with one resonator and a single big muffler in the back . I feel it might be too free-flowing for my NA 3 litre motor, and i want bottom end torque much more than top end power so not really sure if I should stick it on the car
@Guillermo8908 Loud and mean are not synonymous…some exhausts sound loud and really bad. Some are quieter but give a grunty, raw exhaust note. The main reason to get an exhaust system should be to have a better breathing engine and therefore more power and torque through the rev range. Most people put way oversized exhausts on their cars which kills the bottom end and can sound crappy…
Why would you want exhaust UNDER 93 db? Isn’t half the reason you get exhaust so it sounds mean?

Its a promo vid dude… but id say go with Tanabe for what you want.
Sounds sick man. What other exhausts have you tried? Want an exhaust that is quiet in cruise but can hear the sound when pushin it . You feel me?
