Subaru Rally Team USA – Rally Colorado 2007
Now in its fourth year as a national level rally, Rally Colorado is shaping up to become one of America’s best and biggest rallies. The rally is based in the beautiful year-round resort community of Steamboat Springs, just a short drive west into the mountains from Denver. The landscape includes fast sections of road and open areas for great spectating. The high altitude, coupled with fast straights put the high horsepower Open class cars at a distinct advantage. Subaru Rally Team USA driver Ken Block earned a critical win at Rally Colorado, setting the stage for a three-way shootout for the Rally America title. It was the second victory of the year for Block and co-driver Alex Gelsomino. They battled back from an early deficit to the RockStar Energy Drink Rally Team of Tanner Foust and Chrissie Beavis, who had found themselves down on power and suffered a flat tire on their 2007 Subaru WRX STi. In third place were Travis Pastrana and co-driver Christian Edstrom, who were fortunate to recover from an exciting off-road excursion on Day 1 with little more than a flat tire. Pastrana called it “the most fun I’ve ever had in a car in my whole life” when his 2006 Subaru WRX STi toppled over a cliff and landed 60 yards off the road in a field. The pair regained the course and lost little time to their opponents. It was at this rally in 2005 that Pastrana famously slid wide on a corner and rolled his top-spec Subaru seven and three-quarter times.

this is all opinion. they both look good? the 04-05 has the classic (American classic) STi look. and the 06-07 hawkeyes are just plain sexy, in my opinion.
i gotta say my sti is a handful foreign or not.

You’re 15, and you’re the next “Rally dude”. Well I suggest you get out, build a rally prep’d Subaru, go win every rally you race in….. It’s not that easy to say, there is some stiff competition in rally.

American rally sucks. We just have to many rules and safety limitations on rally in this country. I know I will get reamed for this comment but it’s true. It’s just one sport that’s better left to other counties that can do it right.

Nah! The 06 has that ridiculous Alfa Romeo front end and it looks overly aggressive, like a thug kid trying to look tough. The 04 looks more competent, refined, subtle, like John Corbett in “Dinner Rush” (overly obscure reference alert!)
