We then proclaimed, “The 2009 Nissan 370Z raises the standard for the sport coupe segment to a new level of affordable excellence.” Time to get more serious. It’s V8 time. Who’s in? Let’s see, no Camaro, and a Challenger is not available (don’t ask), so that leaves the freshly updated 2010 Ford Mustang GT, a car whose very existence is predicated upon wallet-friendly performance. Perhaps a reinvigorated veteran can take down the newly crowned king. The particulars might differ ? four seats versus two, V8 versus V6 ? but the mission is the same. And the 2009 Nissan 370Z and 2010 Ford Mustang GT are priced closer than you might think.

@Texarmageddon I see 350Zs and a 370Z on a rare occasion. It just looks too small to me and not enough car. I have seen a few C6 Z06s with very low mileage for 48K. I think one had less than 6K. When those reach low 40s with less than 20K miles, talk about a bargain supercar.
Funny how people talk about old news. The 2011s are on the street and the GT is going to beat 370s all day, even if they have bolt-ons. God help you if the GT has a few bolt-ons and drag radials. The 2010 GT was not ment to beat the world and plenty of them were sold. The 2011 GT was meant to beat everything in it’s price range. Mission Accomplished.

@ebohan74 Man I remember when everyone was racking on american cars saying the reason they were in debt was because no one liked them and their cars sucked. Hmph, why were nissan in debt for the past 3-4 years just now getting out? Couldn’t be reliability.

Are you serious with that ignorant comment? 2010 JD Power dependability study has Lincoln and Mercury in the Top 5 and Ford about 18 spots ahead of Nissan. In fact, Nissan is far below the industry average. Please get your head out of the sand and see the world for what it really is and not your small experiences. Cry all you want, but the facts will not change.
Are you serioualy going to compare a piece of shit Ford against a Nissan? Your Ford may be quicker but it will be on the side of the road after 50k miles.
They aren’t really comparable; the Mustang is a musclecar, the Z a sportscar.
This will all change once the new coyote 5.0 L engine arrives
it’s not a 2011 it’s a 2010 4.6 not a 5.0 the 370z doesn’t stand a prayer against a new one.

well i seen two video from this group and both time they dog the mustang. i say look at sales, if the z was really that strong they, camaro, or the dodge would be the top sale in the power car market. Plus i have shut down a z with eaze with my mustang with no mods.
