Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X vs Subaru Impreza WRX STi (Top Gear) [Part 2]
At this time – Clarkson tests the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X and the new Subaru Impreza WRX STI. He lavishes immense praise on the handling characteristics of the Evo, and bashes the Impreza as ugly and less fun to drive. The Evo appears to be more precise and more agile, while the Impreza (markedly cheaper in the UK market) is said to look like a ‘war wound’ and sound like it is being fueled by mogadon. Although Jeremy dislikes the STI, it turns out to be faster around the track by setting a lap time of 1:28.2, against which the Mitsubishi achieves 1:28.22. Subscribe if you liked this video! (;

I had a 2006 WRX STI and absolutely loved the thing. The new ones look like a slapped ass! And not to mention you have to do you own modifications to the suspension and such to get it to the same performance that the older STI’s had. Sigh…. Oh well… maybe onto a RS4

My 2cents in this is both damn good cars(own a wrx). But I have come to notice people that purchase the evo give it a bad wrap by being street racing tools. Subaru communities are more mellow, also you see them more at a track course. Where these cars should be seen at. Yet EVOs are better seen at 1/4mile tracks.
