@optflv ………… I am glad I could help.
I just wanted to say thank you. I borrowed a GX200-powered pressure washer that hadn’t been run in a couple of years. The carb was completely gummed up with old gas, and this procedure had it purring like a kitten in no time. Thanks!
@vankyfwa ……………BOOOOOMMMMMMM!

thank you for the info on the carb stripdown,i’ve just done one on our gokart and it helped us out a lot,cheers.
Thanks so much to 65ford for posting this. I have a petrol-powered water pump with a Chinese clone of the GX160 engine. Nearly everything shown in this video was exactly the same and I had no trouble cleaning out my carburettor and getting the engine working again. This problem was caused by leaving fuel sitting in the carb. for 3 or 4 years whilst the pump sat unused. I will be sure to drain the bowl next time and avoid this happening again.
@videoguy1845 ………….either
if i were ever to put this on something would it be a go kart or a bike?
@pl992077 the main jet holds it in if you cant thump it alittle and get it out you might go to like autozone and buy a boil kit and boil the carb cause it may be alittle coroded ect. that help
@ 4:40 you removed with a flat screwdriver in there is the main jet that you did not take out. Anybody no how that can be removed?
How do you remove the jet. I checked online and cannot get an answer. I tried to use a paper clip and try to push down from the top but it will not fall down. Does it require more force, I’m afraid of damaging it.
forgive me for pointing it out, but you did actually forget to clean out your pilot jet(the one below the throttle stop screw) Also it may have been wise to remove the emulsion tube to check that none of the holes are blocked (making the engine run too rich). Well done for posting I’m sure people would gain some knowledge by watching.
THANKS FOR THE ADVICE
They should be threaded into the intake manifold. I would take the air cleaner off. Take the two nuts you removed and thread them onto ONE of the bolts/rods. Tighten the nuts to each other and you should be able to use a wrench on the inside nut to unscrew the bolts/rods.
Yes
are you talking about the two bolts that run through the carb and air cleaner?
hi, how can you take the steel rods of the engine that hold the carb because i have a carb adapter but i need to take these of for it to fit on. advice please.
