A light demo of a Cheshire Police Unmarked Ford Mondeo (DK10BAU) seen at the joint Cheshire Police & Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service open day 2010 held at police HQ in Winsford. ** Unfortunately I do not have the software at the moment to cover the registration, although it was on full display with all of it’s lights on so Cheshire Police must not be that concerned about its registration getting out **

@s1rallye Hi, thanks! Yeah that’s right, hiding the registration is to help keep it covert for as long as possible.
Police vehicles in each force usually start with the same, in Merseyside most start with PN or PO and are batch registered, so some have only one letter difference. Although some forces who have a bit of sense register their unmarked vehicles from all over the place, so they are less easy to spot. Some although don’t unfortunately and the baddies can spot them from a mile away.
Cool
Just curious to what the problem is with showing off the number plates? Is it as the cars are unmarked they should be hidden to remain further inconspicuous? Pretty much every police car in the Thames Valley area start with ” OU ” and this is also seen on allot of the vectra unmarked cars they use. Although I have seen about 3 – 4 undercover cars with a different plate.
@bosco1013 true true i guess they think they will be alright lol
@modelgamejamie Thanks, haha. They aren’t false plates lol, suprisingly several of their unmarked Mondeos there all had very similar registrations. Bad mistake by CheshPol as it makes them a lot easier to remember by the crims.
@PoliceMadJamie Ta mate
Lovely vehicle!!
great video, i bet there was a few copying down the reg lol, by you never know they could be false plates
@QuickTechno
I see what you mean, although it depends on its role. I heard someone mention that it was Driver Training. If that was true then it doesn’t matter.
They really shouldn’t put the number plates on display to be honest.
@modelearth
Thanks. Yeah they could be, although they make it a hell of a lot more obvious that it’s a Police vehicle.
great! i think a rear deck of leds would be more effective though
