@anazndude
Because it was against the MS6 and XRS.. the Camaro was just a rolling flyby. And I used to have respect to Camaros not until now, I used to believe that it’s disrespectful to compare a supposedly Muscle car to a econo car. So you guys want to compare it, right?
And I wonder why you guys only talk about how shitty the Corolla is in your forums when in fact it won the race against the MS6 at higher speed.
You guys just want to compare a Camaro to a Corolla, are they in the same lvl?
actually i’m pretty sure we’re laughing about it because you make no mention of the camaro putting a bus length on the silly corolla and instead try to hype up a corolla as some sort of super car. even now, as you desperately try to one-up the ls1 with your 2zz or whatever. corolla fan boys are more comical than honda guys. at least every now and then you’ll run into a fast civic or teg.
@anazndude
If you’re not trying to win, why are you trying hard to explain yourself?
If push Rods sucks, why use it? They used it coz they ran out of ideas Ior maybe lazy to do research, right?
And you guys are so happy coz the camaro ate the corolla, what does that mean? This has been posted in 2 LS1 diehard forums and are laughing and jumping for happiness that finally a Corolla got beat.
I guess, a losing corolla over a camaro makes you happy.. LMAO!
hp/liter is silly because it’s a different engine design. a pushrod takes up much less space than a dohc of equal displacement. the v8 tundra from ’99 had 245. the one introduced in 07 had 381 hp. the ls1 from ’97 had 350, the ls6 from ’01 had had 385. not even going into the gen4 motors. i’m not trying to “win over a lowly cheap pos corolla” the cars serve different purposes.
wow, hp per liter is silly for you coz you dont have it and you cant have it.. If it happens that LS1 makes 100 hp per liter would you not love it? 570 hp of glorious power not 250hp.. lol
BTW, you forgot the you are comparing a 5.7 to 1.8 L engine.. Why not try to compare your 5.7 to a little bigger import engines and see what you can say.
a 5.7L tundra that is not even sports oriented or I say an econo engine makes more power and torque than the supposedly sporty Camaro.. lol
ok.. you forgot you are comparing a 5.7L gas guzzler yet produces 50 hp per liter engine to a tiny 1.8L engine.
you are trying to win over a lowly cheap POS Corolla.. LOL.. If I have a camaro, I’d better compare it to Supras.. But you just can’t coz Camaros == Corolla.. lol
I just lost my respect to camaros, I thought they’re better than a Corolla.
40 years of advance technology, but as seen in this video, will still get blown away by a primitive pushrod. corolla is not made to be a performance car, so stop making it out to be the ultimate sports car. and there are domestic cars that do more than 115 hp per liter. but as i said, the hp/liter comparison is silly.
@Joedan22
If the 5.7 L LS1 is making 115hp per liter like the LFA, then it should be making a freaking 666 hp out from the factory. But unfortunately, they just cant do it.
And where is your Domestic version of more than 115 hp per liter car?
I know it’s only a Corolla, yet it got 40 years of advance technology than your awesome LS1 camaro.
you drive 265 miles at WOT? and as for cost, i said hp to cost. i don’t care how high it revs, last i checked, the MAX torque of the lotus exige you’re bragging about is not even 200 ft/lb and hp is like 270. with forced induction. a stock ls1 is 350hp/365 ft/lb. my cluster might not go up to 9000 rpm, but the needle can go up to the max MPH marking of 155.
btw. all LS series motors are aluminium, and if “boosted to the max” will output much more than 700 hp.
I dont care if that corolla had a million hp per liter engine, it is still a corolla. It still is a toyota and looks like a family turd car. Not only is the Camaro faster, it looks 100x better. And the LFA comment was about as relevant to this convo as Captain crunch. The LFA might make 550 hp but it is a v10 styled completly off of F1 racing,, and took 10 years to make. If it didnt have 550 hp ot would be useless and stupid.
@anazndude
Even at woot or agressive driving.. it’s really really hard to get below 25 mpg. I still get 265 miles average out of 10 gallons with that kind of driving. Yes, it’s a curse, this engine wont just drink that much gas.
Cost to produce?? If it is expensive to make this 2zz-ge engine, it will never be put to a cheap POS corolla.
The Corolla engine is cheap since it’s a corolla engine.. hello!!!
Also, it is small since it is only a 4 cylinder engine. Also 1 of the lightest engine for it’s size and potential since it is all aluminum engine, yet capable of doing 700whp if boosted to the max.. unlike the LS1, big yet puny.
BTW, it’s only a 1.8L engine. And yes, Lotus Exige and Elise uses the same Corolla engine.. 9000 RPM baby, you don’t even see that in your cluster.
You call that a race. Maybe you should photochop the camaro out and make the lines go passed the cars faster. Oh and change the exhaust so it sounds like it has balls and not a vagina. LS1 workin that ass!
LOL! That Camaro smoked both of them! Classic.

Set your standards higher, people

@anazndude
and yeah, this corolla even with a 1.8L engine can reach 145+ MPH.. Check other vids..
Name me a domestic car with 1.8L N/A that can do the same.
@anazndude

@TheCorollaXRS
It’s a 4.8 V10 …..composed of 10 tiny cylinder that even if you combine them all it will never be as big as the 5.7L V8.
.. And where is the saying, :”there is no replacement for displacement?”
@Joedan22
the 10 years of making is a sign of dedication to perfection.
You cant rush perfection.. unlike the way they did to the LS1.
@Joedan22

lol @ hp/liter arguement. evo/sti/supra/etc guys never talk about that. only those guys with economy cars do.
how about comparing hp:engine dimensions ratios. or the cost to design/produce.
and as for mpg… lol. we’re watching videos of an econbox going WOT and then you try to brag about mpg.
lol
@Joshuaeski
Are there any other cars a camaro can beat other than a POS corolla?
Im really surprised many are so happy and excited about this. It seems like it never happened before.
ha. you got owned.
You call that a race. Maybe you should photochop the camaro out and make the lines go passed the cars faster. Oh and change the exhaust so it sounds like it has balls and not a vagina. LS1 workin that ass!
@MrChevelle83 WOW…..
@MrChevelle83
The Camaro actually looks more like from the junkyard.
@nolimit3935
wow.. a 5-6 years for just only $8k?
Does it really loses that much value? Wow.. it sucks buying domestic cars then.
A supra which is a 12 to more years old are still sold for 25k and up.
the camaro blew yalls slow junk away LOL
