The Nürburgring, simply known as “The Ring” by enthusiasts, is a motorsport race track in Nürburg, Germany. It was built in the 1920s around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel, which is about 70 kilometres (43 mi) south of Cologne, and 120 kilometres (75 mi) northwest of Frankfurt. Nicknamed The Green Hell by Jackie Stewart, it is widely considered the toughest, most dangerous and most demanding purpose-built race track in the world. Originally, the track featured four track configurations: the 28.265 kilometres (17.563 miles) long Gesamtstrecke (“Whole Course”), which in turn consisted of the 22.810 km (14.173 mi) Nordschleife (“Northern Loop”), and the 7.747 km (4.814 mi) Südschleife (“Southern Loop”). There also was a 2.281 km (1.417 mi) warm-up loop called Zielschleife (“Finish Loop”) or better known as Betonschleife, around the pit area.[1] Between 1982 and 1983 the start-finish area was demolished to create a new GP-Strecke, and this is currently used for all major and international racing events. However, the Nordschleife is still in use.

2005 Ferrari FXX attack on Nurburgring Nordschleife 1 lap time (Forza vs Real – must see!).

I made this video while intenting to race with a real Ferrari. This is Ferrari FXX stock car. No mods and without tuning. There were only 30 of Ferrari FXX made, so chance to see a real FXX is extremely remote. Of course, there is no chance in my life time to drive such car. I actually never have been Nurburgring either. So, I searched on youtube, and found this onboard of Ferrari 599XX attacked on Nurburgring 1 lap: www.youtube.com This car is very close to the FXX in terms of performance and benchmark stat data. To compare mine with his, open another window with this youtube video, and at View to zoom out and then reduce the window size and drag the video window close to my video side by side (after the ad pause both videos at time stamp: 0:00). Now play my video first, right after about 51 seconds, then start his video. Watch side by side to compare! Must watch! I did a lap time of 8:34 minutes. So, I checked his entry speed of each corning as he did. He is faster! I made several mistakes…. I used a tube amp in my sound system from: dared.us
